ASA 111: Bareboat Chartering Workshop | September 3rd, 2027 | Milwaukee, WI

September 3 - 3 2027
$197.00

A successful bareboat charter begins long before you step aboard.

This classroom-based ASA 111 Bareboat Chartering Workshop helps sailors understand the planning, preparation and practical decisions involved in chartering and operating a sailboat away from their home waters.

You’ll learn how to choose a destination, evaluate charter companies and vessels, prepare a sailing resume, organize your crew, plan an itinerary and provision the boat. The course also covers charter agreements, insurance considerations, boat check-in procedures, onboard systems and strategies for responding when weather, mechanical problems or crew needs change the plan.

Most charter companies require a sailing resume from the skipper and may look for recognized sailing certifications before approving a bareboat charter. This course will help you understand those expectations and identify any additional experience or training you may need before your trip.

This is a dry-land preparation course. There is no on-the-water portion, and completion does not guarantee approval by an individual charter company.
